Click on the picture to download.
This is what it will look like, minus the watermarks, when you download it.

Family Rules Canvas

So, I have come across a bunch blogs that have done this Family Rules Canvas. I just think it's awesome. I believe this is the first one. The Pleated Poppy has a tutorial on how to do it. I believe this is the one that started it all. Such a great idea.
Tatertots and Jello has this cute one over here!

She also did another one on this post.
Here is a tutorial from Moore Minutes.
You are not going to believe how she made this Feather Wreath. Go to the bottom of her post to see how she did it.
Here is what MX Momma came up with. She did it different and used a cardboard wrapped canvas and then framed it. Way cute. This one was done with some MDF over at Impress Your Kids.

Here is a smaller version over at We Are THAT Family.
The "Mind your own beeswax " rule cracked me up. This one came from Owlhaven. It was made for one person. I'm betting a girl. I like that she did one just for her daughter (I'm guessing since it's only just the picture.)

Enjoy!

Valentine's Giveaway

This giveaway is now closed!

Here is the giveaway I have been hinting at. It is for a candy bar wrapper. This specific one fits perfectly around a Hersheys bar. It is 6"x6". This is one of my favorite party favors and I thought it would be a fun giveaway. This would be great as a party favor if you are doing a Valentine's party or as a Valentine to another person.

I will actually be doing two items for the giveaway so that means two lucky people get to win. The first winner gets the file for the candy bar wrapper and the second person gets the file for the cute little owl Valentines.

Here are a couple other candy bar wrappers I have done. This one was for my daughter's birthday party she had last year. Her theme was chocolate. So this was the party favors. Here is a picture of one actually made and wrapped. I couldn't find a picture of the ones already made for my daughter's birthday party and the Valentine's one I can't do because my printer is on the fritz. Always lovely when you are trying to do stuff.

Anyways, this was made for the Relief Society Birthday Dinner that we had. Everyone loved it.

Here is the second item to win. I made this for the moms who don't like all the commercialized Valentines out there. This is pretty cute. The dimensions are 2 1/4" x 3 1/4". There are 9 on an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper. And, like I said, my printer is not working so I can't print out what it will actually look like.
What it will look like on the paper. Both files are sent to you through your email and you can print them on your printer. Be sure to leave me your email so that I can get a hold of you if you win.

So, here is how you enter.

1. Tell me how you would decorate a Valentine's table for a romantic dinner. (I am planning a group date and we want dinner to be nice.)

2. Become a follower of this blog. If you are already a follower that's fine too.

3. Put my button on your blog.

4. Blog about this giveaway and come back and leave me your link.

The giveaway ends on January 22nd. I will announce the winners on the 23rd.

Also if you don't win but would like to buy one of the items please let me know and I'll set it up. They both would be $3.50 each.

Cheater Flower Necklace

So I have noticed that there are these cute chain and pearl necklaces out there that have a flower attached at the side. They are so dang cute but I am not going to spend that much for them. I'll just use what I have.

I just got this necklace from my MIL and I love it. Well, it's the perfect necklace for a flower.
Here is the flower. I raided my daughter's hair clip stash and found this one. What do you do with it?
Yeah, that's right! Clip it on to the necklace and voila, you have a cute necklace with a flower that you can take off after you wear it.
I wore this to church one Sunday and got many compliments on it. What's nice about the clip, too, is that it makes it so that the flower stays forward. Meaning, it's really hard for that flower to flip around.
I just had to show you my other necklace that I got from Santa. I love it. I sometimes put the flower on this one too.

Baby Shower Gifts

So here is what I made for a lady that I know who is having a girl. The baby's bedroom colors are hot pink, lime green, and chocolate brown. I wish that I had the money to go out and buy the cutest Amy Butler but I don't so I go to Joann Fabrics. There is a lot of cute fabric out there but sometimes it just doesn't cut it.

I was lucky to find this fabric that I thought was perfect and really cutsie.

So this is the blanket I did. I made one for my son when he was little and it was so warm. I just loved it. I hope she likes it. It's funny but the fur looks black but it's really brown.
I normally do the burp cloths with the middle covered with the fabric. This time I cut it wrong so it was too short to do it. So, I improvised. I think my improvisation turned out really cute. I am starting to get into the ruffles so I had to do one with the ruffles. What do you think?
Here is the diaper clutch too. Oooh, I just love it.

I even made a little fabric flower that she could use as anything really. Right now I have a hair clip on it so she could use it for her baby's headband or whatever.
This is what her package looks like. I was hoping to find a better bag but I couldn't find one. This one is cute enough. The color definitely pops! The present was well received. The girls loved the flower and totally loved the ruffle burp cloth.

A New Way Do a Growth Chart

I came across this unique way of doing a growth chart. Well, it's not really a growth chart per se
but it is a cool way to show your child growing bigger. This neat little idea comes from Little Bit Funky. I also love her idea to do everyone's hand in the family and stacking them on top of each other. I just might have to do that.
