A Cute Hat Out Of A Sweater

So I saw two people make the most adorable hats out of a sweater and I just had to try it. I bought this teal sweater at a Thrift shop for $2.99 and started cutting.
I cut off the bottom of the sweater and two circles in the middle. One bigger than the other. I decided to make one for my DD and one for me. I also cut off the neck part of the sweater. It was perfect for the rim of my DD's hat.
So here is what it looks like finished. I got her out of bed to try it on and take some pictures because I couldn't wait to put it on here. I'm not done with it though. I want to put an embellishment on the side. Not sure what I want to use yet. I am going to make mine and see what I want to do. I think it turned out so cute.

If you want to see the other versions that were made go to That's So Cuegly for her pictures and Ruffles and Stuff with her guest blog here.

What Can You Make With Ripped PJ's?

So, I have had these PJ's for about 4 years now and they finally started to rip in the seat area so I couldn't wear them anymore. I do love the fabric though, so I decided that I wanted to use it and make it into something else.
This is what I did with the fabric. I made identical PJ bottoms for my daughter. Plus I made a ruffle top, using the buttons part of the PJ's and cut up strips of fabric, into a ruffle around it. I also made a scrunchy, PJ bottoms (that match C's with a ribbon at the bottom) for Barbie and also a made up PJ top for Barbie too. I still have leftovers and am figuring out what else to do.
I would do a tutorial but I basically just cut from scratch. The only thing I used for a pattern was her pants. I had to make sure they were big enough for her.
I had fun making these and my husband got a kick out of it too.

Studio 71 Designs

A week ago I entered a giveaway and won. I got to choose from many digital paper packs that she offers. The one I chose was the Bold Baby. I thought the paper was so cute and I know that I can do a lot with it. These will be part of the papers that I will use when I start making cards. Adorable right?

Check out her blog to see other paper packs she has done. Click on the picture to take you to her blog.
Another place that has paper packs that I love is Tracy Ann Digital Art. She has paper and clip art along with a few other items that you can choose from. I just love her paper too.

To check out what she has in her Etsy shop click on the picture of papers by her. If anyone wants a Christmas card done with any of these papers please let me know and I come up with something.

Digital Cards

So, I have ventured out to the digital world this year and have loved every second. I love creating something and seeing the final product.

My first really big thing that I did was my sister's wedding announcements. This is a copy of what it looked like. I took the picture of the flower and designed the rest. Actually my sister had a picture of this kind of announcement and I just did what they wanted to look like it. We also added the green border. Their colors were pink and apple green.

(Nice side story: When my BIL proposed to my sister he sent her on a scavenger hunt and at every place she ended up there would be a Gerber Daisy and the next clue. The picture is of one of those daisies.)
This is the Bridal Shower invitation. Goes right along with the theme of her wedding. Cool huh? I think it turned out pretty cute. My sis loved it too.
These were actually done when I didn't have that much experience with Photoshop so just imagine what I can do now. I just love Photoshop and love creating.

This was done a month or so later. I knew a little bit more. My daughter wanted to have a chocolate party. I took the picture of her (Actually on the day my sister got married now that I think about it.) and added some elements. I added the flower in her hair, the butterfly wings, and the brown swirl (to represent the chocolate) at the bottom.
I will add more things when I get them done. Right now I am working on a few Christmas cards and a couple baby announcements. More later.
